OK, folks, getting closer.

I picked up a radiator/aux fan switch at my local parts place.

It helpfully has the following marking next to the pins on the inside of the
plastic shielding:

These markings run from left to right across the switch.

Any idea on which wires plug into which pins?

As a reminder, the wires are:

Brown w/ white stripe
Brown  stripe
Brown w/ blue stripe

Some helpful people have offered to check their S6 cars, but this switch is
pretty buried (it would take removal of the belly pan at minimum) so I'm
hoping for enlightenment without sending someone out to the garage.
