[s-cars] No lights in morning

I have had a peculiar problem in the mornings lately: the headlights will not turn on after starting up my 95.5 S6.  I start the car up and flip on the lights but only the parking lights will come on.  I have either had to switch them on or off a couple of times or switch back and forth to high beams a couple of times for them to come on.  The other things that don't seem to work when the car starts are the wipers and climate control (I have not confirmed those two, but this morning I was pretty sure the climate control display did not kick on until the light issue was resolved).  Upon leaving work in the evening, everything works fine.  This all started about a week ago and has happened every morning, with temps in the 30's (F).  I am suspecting a relay or the ignition switch.  Any BTDT out there?
