[s-cars] No lights in morning

everything you describe but the CC points to the steering column switch assembly.  Try to find a used one, I found one at Force-5 a couple years back for a very reasonable price (and for an avant at that, I was lucky).

I am suspecting a relay or the ignition switch.  Any BTDT out there?
