With respect to that short turbo coolant hose, I would suggest using a higher quality hose than the OE part.? Trust me... when you get done replacing that hose, you'll understand why you won't want to do it again.? Find 6 inches of high quality heavy wall hose to use for that application.

Besides the usual suspects already mentioned, what I thought was the t-stat
neck once, was actually the upper rad hose at the water manifold.. hose was
fatigued at six o'clock on the water mani & dripped onto the t-stat neck.

BTW (& probably unrelated kevin) for future reference, the short coolant
hose for the turbo feed line under the manifold is part number 034 121 063C
,, had a bitch of a time finding that so hopefully its now archived and will
help in the future.

also, if youre having problems w/your t-stat sealing, you really should sand
the block down some before replacing the t-stat,, and new o-ring with maybe
a touch of dielectric if its handy to seat it smooth and keeps it a bit
tacky for the few seconds of getting it in place.

works for me.
