Well, I like Audis that have turbos... so an RS4 engine swap doesn't appeal much to me.

I have an A4 1.8t with APR's Stage 3 kit.? It is a lot of fun, and does make some very decent power.? I recently picked up an '01 S4.? Since we're talking about the same car with 2 different engines, I can say that the 2.7t is very appealing, as it is smooth as silk, where the 1.8t is sort of buzzy/noisey.? Considering that the A/S5 weighs in at nearly 4000lbs, I don't see a 2.0t as a really good transplant option.? It'll be harder to make it scoot than the UrS is.

I'm not sure what you mean by the K04 turbo issues... maybe I'm uninformed.

I'd rather look at RS4 engine swap or the opposite direction and put a 2.0T modified in there.

I don't really see why anyone would want a 2.7T swap. Are the turbo issues solved with going to K04 turbos?

The A or S5 6 speed will make a perfect project car for a 2.7tt transplant in 6 or 7 years when they only bring $15k in the market.
