I take it they understand it's a C4 and not a B5> S4?

Subject: [s-cars] Driveshaft center support

I've got a question for those who have worked on the S4 driveshaft,
specifically the geometry of the center bearing support. I'm working with a
driveshaft company on a rebuilt driveshaft, and their specs call for a
center support that has the bearing centered between the mounting holes. My
support has a left-right offset (also shown in the 5th and 6th picture at
http://forums.audiworld.com/s4s6/msgs/29704.phtml . The driveshaft company
says they've done a lot of S4 driveshafts and have never seen the center
support with a left-right offset. I find it hard to imagine that they're
not all the same. Can anybody shed any light on this difference? Is it
possible that the S4s were built with 2 different types of center supports?
