FWIW, the Eagle F1 GSD3's I have on my somewhat lighter Saabaru (and in a
smaller size, FWIW 215/45-17) have about 15K miles on them, and they have
about 5/32's left on them. They've begun to get a bit hydroplane prone in
standing water (which they weren't before), although they haven't gotten any
louder (they'd easily be acceptable on a B5, they're marginally acceptable
on the Saabaru). Although the sidewalls aren't stiff, they are reasonably
responsive. Go to www.tirerack.com and look up the UHP summer comparo they
did 2 years ago for more details. They aren't the all season models.
