[s-cars] Coolant Boiling

Hi Tim, I'll vote with Peter on this one. Assuming no previous overheating
event(headgasket warning), a car that overheats *that* quickly says
thermostat to me. Perhaps going over the upper and lower rad hoses and rad
with an IR temp gun might give an indication.

I've had new thermostats go bad in less than 3 months.  I'd double check if
none of the other lister suggestions pan out.

Looking for a place to start diagnosing the problem.  Coolant boils over
when temperature gauge still reads below normal.  Normally the car hasn't
even been running for more than 5-10 mins.  Don't think its the sensor
because I had that replaced about a year ago (of course it doesn't mean it
can't be the problem).  Thermostat wasn't replaced long before that.  All of
the coolant hoses and the radiator are hot too the touch.  Anyone have any
ideas on where to start looking???
