[s-cars] Wiper Woes

It seems that the wipers on my 95.5 S6 just suck.  When I bought the car (almost 3yrs ago) I thought it was just the blades the PO had put on but now that I have gone through about 4 different brands (from Bosch to Carquest) and wiping the windshield with denatured alcohol, there is not much improvement.  I am constantly getting a ton of streaking across the windshield when I turn on the wipers.  Anyone else having this problem and found a solution?
