George:  In my original DIY instructions for the 1.8t coil pack conversion, I specifically noted that the
 both the hard plastic and the rubber had to be trimmed and that you have to make sure that the coil 
packs snap firmly down onto the metal hex of the sparkplug, otherwise, you could get a misfire:

What is surprizing is that the Apikol coils weren't trimmed.  Maybe the coils you got didn't come
 from Apikol? (Or it was before they trimmed them, because I am pretty sure they trim them in the 
new kits they sell).

I am very interested in the fact that you are running the red (orange) V8 coils.  I don't know of 
anybody who has with the 20vt.  Any idea what the part number is?
