These things just get more and more diverse...

...not that I wouldn't want the cash and the 550i. 

And I actually looked at a 550i on Friday.  I need to car with a decent 
back seat for the new job I started last week.  Four and a half months 
without a decent paycheck, and then a new job that will require a new 
car.  Nice turn around!  The 5 series comes up for the obvious 
reason...it still has a stick!  I've driven the 535i with the stick and 
stock suspension, auto and sport suspension and the 550i Sport with the 
auto.  Of course, what I want will have to be ordered and, if I do go 
propeller, it almost looks better getting the 550i Sport manual than the 
535i with the sport package as the aero package is an "accessory" on the 
535, which adds the labor and hassle of having it installed.  It is 
included in the 550i Sport, which really doesn't ge much worse mileage.  
Also in consideration, a used S6 with 18k on it, but it's black/black, 
which is hell in Houston, although the Audi a/c's are WORLDS better than 
the BMW's, which seem basically  inadequate down here in the summer.  
And, of course, both A6's and possibly a used A8...

The consulting firm will make my payment for up to $1050 per month, 
which sort of moves one to max out that payment, or you don't get the 
max benefit...which also ties you into a high payment so that you're 
less likely to leave, I suppose.  There's also a used S8, but ...and 
those V10's can drink those gallons awfully fast!  I've got a friend in 
Baton Rouge that I turned on to Audi's with a ride/drive in the RS2'ed 
S6 maybe four years ago.  He now has an V10 S6 and swears it is the best 
car ever built...which would just astonish the hell out of Jeremy on Top 
Gear, I suppose.

Anyway, just a terrible predicament to be in, but this windfall below 
would take care of all of that!
