so what's the current list wisdom on how to pressure-test the intake tract? should the turbo be included in the test? what size plugs are used for the various pieces and what did you use for plugs?
i have an O2 adaptation field (block 9, group 000) that is reading 66, below the normal range of 100-141. among other things, bentley says to check for leaks between the turbo and the throttle body.
i have samco hoses installed everywhere. does it still make sense for me to pressure-test the system or should i look elsewhere first?

Your crankcase should not be pressurized during normal running.? During a pressure test, however, it will pressurize causing the oil cap wheezing and potentially blowing out your dipstick.? Any time an intake valve is open, this will eventually pressurize the case.
Attached is a drawing of the crankcase ventilating setup...

On the AAN engines, should (or shouldn't)?there be a check valve somewhere to
keep the valve cover and crankcase from seeing full boost?
Thinking I might have boost leak I pressure tested the system and the oil filler
cap whistled like hell with only 10 PSI applied. I am getting a strong whistle
during shifts and full boost, so I know I'm loosing pressure somewhere, and it
seems to be the oil filler cap. Car runs fine and pulls strong, I just don't
want to blow all my gaskets.
