Check the FAQ. I did a write-up on this and it should be there or on
S-Cars.

Subject: [s-cars] Sift Rod weighting

I am going to install the 034 SSK, formally known as the Billzcat SSK,
today hopefully if someone can chime in here.

I have heard of weighting the shift rod while doing this and envision
melting some fishing weights down with a torch (acetelyne or will butane
do it?) and pouring them into the shift rod somehow. Is this correct?

Anyone who has done this care to share their experience? I would like to
make sure I have everything I need before I begin.

Thanks,
John
