Since you'll get your $1300 back easily, then I'd absolutely run with
the deal, and wait for a nice lower-mile S6 to come on the market.
Getting back $1700 more dollars than you originally paid for the car
ain't too shabby, from a wallet POV. Sucks that an UrS-car had to die
for it, however.
I'd be interested in a few bits and parts meself. Mostly interior
stuff, if you're planning on parting the beast out yourself.
