[s-cars] Telescoping Steering Wheel

Hi All,

I took my 94 S4 in to have the steering rack replaced.
 After I picked it up I noticed that the telescoping
steering wheel feature didn't work.  I guess there is
a chance that it wasn't working  before the repair.  I
click the lever down and the wheel won't budge back or
forth.  The tilt works.

Would a steering rack replacement have any chance of
causing my problem?  The mechanic thought that the two
aren't related.  I don't have access to my service
manual CD.
