[s-cars] Crap, I gotta sell

Why? Complete bureaucratic BS from both Transport Canada and Audi USA. They are not
on the list:
http://www.tc.gc.ca/roadsafety/importation/VAFUS/list/AUDI_.htm
Supposedly something to do with child seat restraints. The irony is we got 1993 and 1994 avants
from Germany and we got 96 and 97 Avants from Germany. We did not get the 95 A6 Avant or
the 98 C4 A6 Avant. Do you see a pattern? Any years we got from Germany, cannot be imported
from the US (probably didn't want to screw the Canadian dealers with private US imports).
Unfortunately, the S6 Avant got caught in this web of BS. I imported a 98 C4 A6 Avant (Europa
over Ecru) with the intent of converting it to an S6 avant. While the vehicle was on the train from NJ
to Seattle (I had to go down and pick it up) over the Christmas-New Years 2006/07, the British
Columbia government changed the AirCare law so all OBDII cars get checked through the OBDII
port before the tailpipe sniff, i.e. I got screwed since I can't swap in a non-OBDII AAN.
Oh well, its not a bad daily driver. Only had to put a battery in it and gas and oil in 13 months of
driving it.
Oh yeah, I did have to add the official child seat restraint tether D ring in order to pass federal
inspection (like I couldn't do that with an S6 avant).
