Hey Bill,
Glad to hear that motor is finally going to see some fire in its belly
again! btw, after you get the muffler bearings installed, I belive they
used to be called "kaniply pins" or somut like that should also be
addressed. And don't forget to powder coat everything bright yellow
before reassembly....
btw, if for some reason you do need a good rack (no, not the Tata kine),
I still got's one of those as well that was dry as a bone...(as well as
a fairly long list of other stuff still taking up valuable floor space).
Seriously though, one thing I would recommend looking into before final
liftoff - a new CPS was spliced into the original harness wires just
before becoming a donor engine, and those teeny wires on the old CPS,
and the half inch or so I stripped the insulation off of from the
remainder of the original harness wires to make the splice, had just a
bit of that kinda greenish look to them as if exposed to some soylent
green. Worked just fine, but just the same, now's the time to mess with
stuff like that...
