[s-cars] Rocky Mountain //S-fest

I saw some fresh ideas from ACNA that I liked. It is difficult to
comprehend
how the leadership can be so out-of-touch with the membership. Save a
Great Divide Hercules for me.

That s-car nationals event was in '01, Kenny. How time flies! I
think the
world events after 9/11 caused follow-on events to falter. If you
look at the
coverage on s-cars.org photos, you will see a world-class event that
takes
a back seat to none. Well organized and orchestrated event was a little
"stuffy" compared to the //S-Fest, but look at the attendees and guests,
including Joe Hoppen (pretty funny speaker).

Talk to some of the original organizers, they are still around.
There is
room for more events. Distance is a toss-up for me. Don't wait too
long,
though, or the cars will be too old for the trip.

For the local ACNA chapter, they need to look at what the Atlanta
(Cherokee) chapter is doing. I'm a little far away, but they have
something
going on once or twice a week, from social events to tech and driver
events,
large and small gatherings with a good mix of new and old members and
vehicles.
