[s-cars] Special thanks to the Gregs for BIRA

I'll heartily second Dave's remarks. I may not have had early-days
foundational a serial number as Dave, but I found the BIRA setup to be a
great simple affordable rig of high engineering quality, and also always
very much appreciated the very cool enthusiast-engineered semi-non-profit
aspect. My only regret was selling mine thinking I wouldn't want to re-use
it at a later date. DOH.
Obviously it was a hassle at various times though, and my sympathies to you
guys. It was always amazing periodically, despite all the vast and explicit
disclaimers and information available beforehand, some guy would sign up
blindly then start complaining about 'bad customer service' or or wanting
instant order delivery, and how often the Gregs or somebody else would have
to re-post the same patient explanations and disclaimers. Not to mention
the occaisional petty arguments as to whether the operation was truly
exactly non-profit... (I for one hope that you at least got a few beers out
of the deal). Sometimes you just can't make this stuff up. Frankly,
watching this stuff go by on the BIRA mailing list was frustrating enough
for me, I can't imagine being the direct target of it.
Anyway, +1 in the thanks department - both for the setup and the patience
over the years.
