Mike,
On the new cars you hold two switches down for maybe 3 seconds to toggle C/F. My foggy memory thinks its both the "+" and "-" , but I can't remember if it was for the temp or fan speed, but i'm leaning towards fan speed. Of course, it may be neither!
Good luck.

Subject: [s-cars] battery died - now stuff reads celsius
I left my car at my parents for three weeks while I was working on my
Mom's car at my house. At some point the battery died (expected) and I
used a 2A charger for a few hours to bring it back up. I didn't have to
jump it. Everything's fine now and the battery doesn't seem to have
suffered any serious damage. But now my climate control and outside
temperature in the dash both read in celsius. I checked the coding in
the controllers with the vag-com, and I don't remember for sure what
they used to be, but I think they're the same. 00254 for instruments
and 00051 for climate control.
Any thoughts? Anyone wanna verify those codings?
I'm not terribly opposed to celsius, but my ego is terribly opposed to
not being able to change it or having any idea what's gone wrong.
-Cheers!
Mike
