By popular request here's the pics... I think I didn't take a finished photo
because I had to take it down to the basement to drill and do some finishing
touches with a dremel.
It was rock solid until I over-fixed it... Excuse the barebones page, can
provide any explanation although seems pretty clear. Only things might
clarify are - I had to trim a few bits away to get the ring to fit, you see
I use paste wax as a mold-release where I don't want epoxy to bond, and I
used a razor to rough up and hatch around where I really wanted a strong
bond to ensure good mechanical grip.
