So I'm the dork who leaves his bizz cardz on people'seses door handles asking to be called when the time comes they opt to sell their cool car.  Most 'recent' was a clean '81 Scirocco S that's local to me - recent being 2-3yrs ago.  Always see it around town piloted by some old codger.

Cell just rang, times come to sell it.  Meteor Grey, stock, older guy who's owned it long time as DD.  Looked clean but needing to be cleaned (loved) when I saw it.  Says, 115k and maybe $1k takes it.  He wasn't sure if that was too much / too little.  I'd guess you could get it for less, who knows.

I gots me toys, but know many here adore them and saying Scirocco! here's like saying Jehovah heh heh.  Anyone game lemme know I'll get you his #.

Funny stuff, dork I am.  This is actually maybe the 3rd time I've done this and the guy's called me tho - prior 2 were MB W124CE cab and W124D.  Prob is the call's always @ wrong time...
