[s-cars] S4 Complete shutdown â please help

Ignition switch is an obvious suspect, another not su obvious one
is the negative battery cable connection.
I had the same symptoms, ended up being caused by a tech who forgot
to tighten the negative battery cable when reattaching it after
a service.
The symptoms didn't appear for a good 3 months after the service, so
it's just possible you have a loose cable which is easily fixed.
