Nice that someone cares , but, yes, go with the flow.
When installed correctly, the inner rigid pipe will direct hot gas
down the
exhaust and protect the flex covering. If installed backwards the
hot gas
can impinge directly on the flex portion where the heat cycling will
cause
it to fail.
