Dave- i have one of these turbos uninstalled currently, so i can see the
blue plate. The upper line on ther plate reads k24 1335.
lower line on plate : 24 4089063. I had a friend that works for Borg
Warner/KKK turbo development here locally look over the turbo. He said the
turbo
didn't match up to anything they had availible, the numbers on the plate
didn't coorelate to anything in the catalog, but that it was a RS2 spec
turbo marked
differently from the one he purchased from borgwarner himself. -rob

Subject: [s-cars] For Participants in the 2004 "RS2" turbo GB

This was the group buy of about 20 turbos from a brand new run of "RS2"
turbos by
Borg-Warner KKK in Europe that was put together by TJM Motorsport in the
spring of 2004.

The questions are:

1. Did anybody happen to take and keep a photo of the blue name/Serial No.
name plate?
IF so, is there some way you can share it? (I can't see the one on mine
since it is at the bottom,
inside)

2. Have there been any failures of this particular batch of turbos? I am
hearing rumour of perhaps
one so far.

3. Was anyone ever able to conclusively decide that what we got was Audi RS2
spec (with a 2.6"
cold side turbine) or KKK's version of the RS2 (with a 2.7" cold side
turbine)? If this was true, it
could explain a few things. (I know - the only way to tell is to disassemble
the turbo)

Thanks in advance.

Dave F.
