So I say 'interested' in that - well - of COURSE we are (nearly) ALL 'interested'. I ask here today however if there is legitimately anyone INTERESTED in the car. The car's owner has asked me to put word out to you all regarding the cars 'likely' availability. I again use 'likely', as the car will only be sold should he achieve his asking price - which is not insignificant. The owner is an esteemed gentleman, one not active within the enthusiast environments.

The car is a 1997 //S6 Plus Avant, silver / black alcantara, ~ 80k. The current owner purchased the car in Italy in 1998 where it resided until full federalization for US import during 2003. It currently resides a few towns away from me here in sunny CT. The owner has progressively gone through the car, replacing any worn items during his ownership. He has maintained all records of the services and will provide the information as appropriate. Many of you witnessed its beauty at //SFest this year and can attest to its condition.

In the interest of preserving the owner's contact information, as well as saving the general populous the inevitable clamor regarding the car's valuation, he and I have agreed to have legitimately interested parties contact me for me to provide him with your information for further contact. I will tell you this much - the price is not for the squeamish, and, is likely significantly more than you would estimate. For the opportunity to own a vehicle of this stature, rarity, and condition however, the 'right' person out there just might find justification. He ventures his is the sole example in North America, and I am inclined to agree. It is quite the machine - I got as far as being able to park it at //SFest, a titillating experience. It is quite cool.

Pictures for now can be found in assorted areas at http://www.mcboost.com/sfest08/, with many found http://www.mcboost.com/sfest08/thumbnails.php?album=3.

Again, contact me should you legitimately be interested in spending new Audi money on part of Audi history. Please spare the price speculation and conjecture - it is what it is.

I for one would love to see this fine car go into one of 'our' hands certainly! Better yet would be for it to remain here in CT, but...

-Paul
