Subject: [s-cars] RS6 Front Apron for URs Cars- Again *Feeler*
S-Heads-
I've embarked on a quest for a functional, good looking, oe type, plug and
play front apron for our cars. Some of you may recall this from awhile back,
anywho, a close friend that worked for Champion Motorsports on the S4
Touring car, and the RS6 Touring car as well as various other teams,
designed and manufactured the GTR bodykit for 2Bennett, now works for a
company that does reverse engineering of body parts, no chuckles Baloney...
That was car parts.
He has the ability to create anything as long as he has pictures and
measurements. I chose the RS6 because of its' ample openings that would give
unfettered flow to an FMIC, BIG oil cooler and brake ducts. Not only that
but the lower leading edge is a splitter, something our cars soarly need to
combat lift.
Things that I think were missed in prior attempts to modify our pig's face.
It would be made of any material we want but probably the most cost
effective would be carbon fiber. More on that later.
Give me a show of hands of people that want to see this happen.
If any of you guys want to set up an online voting thing, I'm all for it, I
just don't know how.
That's it for now. I welcome any comments or whatevers.
Brian
