Tom,
If you want to go the 1.8t coil route than Apikol's kit is definitely
the way to go, I have one, quality construction and fits well.
But with that being said it has been my experience that Audi's 1.8T
coils fail often, I've had 3 fail since May.
I (and others on Audiworld) are pushing forward with using the
Delphi D585 coils which are a CNP design (coil near plug) as is
the 034 high output coils. The Delphi coils are quite interesting in
that they are powerful, robust, and inexpensive (I paid $15 ea for
actual USA made Delphi coils)
I have acquired the coils, wiring connectors for the coils, wiring
connectors to plug into the factory Audi plugs, and need to order
my spark plug cables and make a bracket.
I have shared my bracket design with Apikol who has expressed an
interest in building it, I will keep you informed on this.
Soon I expect to have an Apikol kit available if you still want
one then.
Pics of the Delphi coils are on my photobucket page:

Their are several threds on Audiworld, you may want to search for them,
or if you wait a minute or two Dave will probably post several links!
