My coils were original and lasted 150k, but I'm having the folks at Salta in
Denver install the Apikol kit today along with doing some other pre-winter
maintenance. The failure rate of the 1.8t coils sounds like a bitch though,
given how long the stock ones lasted.

Still, I've decided to test out the Apikol solution and will keep the list
informed of how it fares. I guess I'll also keep a couple of spare 1.8t
coils in the toolbox as well. . .

Thanks everyone for the insight and advice. I'm keeping the stock parts from
the swap (well, the good ones anyhow) in case I decide to swap back and I'm
awaiting Chris' and other's Delphi solution with interest and enthusiasm.
