Are you saying you can't swap crossover pipes at all? Why is that?

Different piston diameters are a matter of course with Brembo calipers, but
using a trailing-edge caliper on a leading-edge application is going to lead
to strange brake pad wear.

Your statement about piston diameters doesn't differentiate CTS-V calipers
from how 996, 996tt, 993tt or 928GTS calipers are setup.
