The consensus has been TRW has the best arms, but avoid Meyle. I
would add, avoid any
originating in China; including any JL Germany, FEQ (first equipment
quality), or similar
brands that are made in China. There are probably some good parts
originating there, but
there is not enough data yet to identify any acceptable parts, just
the bad ones.

Febi is in the middle. Respected brand, but you can't be sure their
parts are not made in
China now. You just hope they are closely monitoring the quality
control in the plant.
FAP99 sells these arms.

I have Karlyn brand arms I bought from Blau but now find they are made
in Taiwan (upper
China) and Pelican parts sells them for half what Blau charged (and
discloses what they are
up front) I have a years use on them and no issues to report. If you
are considering just
getting those Meyle or off brand arms, I would recommend Pelican Parts
Karlyn arms above
those, and they cost less.

The upper strut mounts appear to be more critical to use a high
quality part, although the
investment in labor is less to change these. You can get proficient
enough with changing
lower control arms to make that a relatively simple and easy task, but
the first few require
more effort. Better to use quality parts and do it once.

I haven't mentioned the dealer. You can check the genuinevwaudi.com
discount price to
see why-expensive.
