The BPV, the line to the BPV from your IM, and the line from the IM to the ECU would be my first suggestions of places to look.
A leak won't result in more boost, just typically a rich mixture... or worst case, it won't run at all.

Subject: [s-cars] Diminished Boost
Gents;
Of late my RS2'd S6 has started to feel a bit anemic. I finally noticed that the
boost has dropped off from the usual peak of 27 down to 20-22. Am?I right that a
system leak will actually result in overboost as the turbo keeps spooling with
less resistance? Without a garage or air compressor I can't pressure test it
anyway.
I'm thinking the bypass valve may be leaking and need another cleaning? I
swapped?the aluminum unit from the URQ 3B into this car last July after it had
started "moaning like a sick cow" in that car, and I needed a good valve for the
Glenwood event. I took it apart and cleaned and lubbed it up, and it worked fine
till now.
The plugs are all torqued, and it doesn't miss fire at all (swapped a different
set of 1.8 coils last night - no change), just low boost and lethargic power.
The URQ is in storage so I can't just swap cars like I used to.
Any other suggestions?
