whats up with these mirrors? what the $$ on the GB?
I will actually be driving past there location in Spain in a week.

I probably have the only set of mirrors from Alkar on the list, Forrest,
so I will answer.  They look the same, reflections look the same, and
they weigh the same.  Otherwise, I think glass is glass.  I'm not sure
the lead-free standard was in effect for mirrors in '94-'95, so that may
have changed.   Otherwise, they are EU  and TUV approved products.
If I thought there was the remotest possibility of a quality issue with
anyone, I would not have started this GB.

These mirrors have no markings on the plastic holder, but the Audi
original didn't have much-the small has a paper sticker with p/n.

These are european standard-blue glass with the 1" aspherical strip
on the outside edge of the drivers glass-otherwise flat-and the small
passenger mirror has no writing on the convex glass.

They  have a distribution  subsidiary in Germany also.
