[s-cars] Slippery Slope advice

So, the clock shows 260K and I want to keep the car running
indefinitely - I really like the 4 doors and while I am approaching
mid-life crisis, I have two kids in private school so I have to be
realistic about budget.....I'd be grateful for any feedback about the
relative merits of the approach and the list of potential upgrades.

I know this is a loaded question, but I'll fire it out anyway for
public response.

If I were to rebuild the motor (bottom and top end) and change turbo
plumbing, coils, etc. what's a round ball park number I should budget
for parts/machine shop, etc.
I have some time in the bank with a mechanic, so the labor will be
discounted somewhat ( traded my 91 200 for time in the bank)

The suspect is a 1993 S4 - I bought it highly used intending to
rebuild it someday.

The ecu was chipped by the former owner - APR I believe, but I've
never opened the ECU to confirm.

On the other hand, should I just pull of the suspension bits and BBK
upgrade and go buy a later model S6 with far fewer miles on it? Is
this level of effort really worth it? Any one know of a good candidate
car to buy?

Suspension is in pretty good shape, replaced tie rods, etc on front
end last spring
H&R and Bilstein HD set up
Porsche 928 GTS calipers, A8 rotors and RS2
water pump, timing belt, roller etc and after run pump and all hoses
changed last fall, less than 10k on them.

Here's what I was thinking of doing:

Cosmetics/Aesthetics

HID upgrade (audi TT with relays) - self install
S6 steering wheel - self install
euro tail light assembly - self install
lower door sills - all 4 doors - self install
LL Tek front bumper valance -install after paint
repaint in factory silver - after mechanical work is done

Mechanical

2Bennet Camber adjusters
new crank seals, head gasket, etc.
new clutch, pressure plate, flywheel (machined 7A), throughout
bearing, etc
FMIC - apikol unless someone has a better idea
coil pack - 034 or GM style (a la Dave Forgie)
Turbo,- K26 hybrid (keith tackett recipe)
New Exhaust manifold, downpipe, (hopefully RS2 or 034 if i can afford
that kit, seems pretty '$pensive) either stromung exhaust system or 3"
stainless and V8 muffler assembly
samco silicone hose set
034 silicone intake hose
Connecting rods, crank bearings, etc - thinking of leaving the pistons
stock as I don't really want / need more than 350 whp - is this a good
idea?
new oil pump
bosch 044 fuel pump with relay
RS2 injectors
17" wheels, I like the current AVUS wheels, but the fit is really
tight with that brake upgrade I am carrying

Thanks for your thoughts, ideas, suggestions, and comments
