[s-cars] Voltage regulator replacement

piece of cake. all you need is a long philips screwdriver to remove the two screws holding the voltage regulator to the alternator. these are accessed from behind the alternator.

i used a thin, stiff piece of plastic to compress the brushes on the new regulator so i could slide the regulator into the alternator without getting the brushes caught on the rotor. it's a 10 minute job.

Subject: [s-cars] Voltage regulator replacement

I've never actually tried to replace the voltage regulator while the alternator was in the car.? I have a friend who is asking if it can be done with the alternator in the car.

Anyone know or have some BTDT that I can pass along?

Thanks,
Dave
