[s-cars] Stereo poppin' scarin' the heck out of me!

Hey all,

 

Gave the wife my car (95.5 S6A) for one day this week whilst waiting for
that used headlight to replace hers after her Allroad vs. deer slugfest.
Got my baby back and now the stereo pops LOUDLY (scared the crap out of
me the first time I heard it) every time it is turned on/off - the HU is
a Concert 1 with added phatbox and its been working fine for over a year
previous to the recent gremlin intrusion.   No relay needed for amp
trigger in this case.  I can actually hear the speakers after the stereo
is turned off, but strangely enough, things work just fine when I do
turn the HU on (after that initial sonic explosion).  

 

I pulled the HU this morning until I can figure out what might be ailing
in the system.  Any BTDT's from which y'all might suggest a point of
attack?
