IME Michelins are a waste of money. The tread never wears out, but  
they dry rot very very fast. I've seen sidewall cracks start after six  
months and most of the time they have enough large cracks to be unsafe  
arround 18 months. YMMV, etc, but that's what I have observed on more  
than 20 sets on customer cars.
