Bedding, properly, is a process you consciously do, not really something
they do on their own.

It depends on how hard you were getting on the brakes to really say if they
were too hot, you'd be the best judge of that.....but, that being said I
think if you notice them and think they're too hot, something is amiss. Does
it roll easily directly after releasing the brake pedal?

A very light hint of pad, but nothing more which is why I thought of pads
"bedding in" which I've heard mentioned on the list before.
Porsche 993 Carrera 4 calipers - akin to BIRA System 3 I've been told, but
without the BIRA bracket.

I would say if you would even notice such a thing then something is
probably not right. Do you smell "brake"?
What is a not so big upgrade?
