 Personally, I think a 45mm offset on any wheel will look poor... think UPS truck.? 35mm offset with an 8 inch width looks great.

I run a 38mm offset on a 17x8 with a 255/40/17.? Fits great... no rubbing.

As I understand it our stock Avus wheel offset on the 1995 S6 is 38mm. Does 
anyone know if the 18" newer style of the six spoke Avus design with a 45mm 
offset will still fit as well as stock?......I'm wondering if this is similar or 
less variance than someone running 245mm tires?.......as always, thanks in
