You being a runnin' fool, if you have any other athlete friends that are
long time cyclists, one of them might still have a 32mm headset wrench -
thin and fairly long that works on that left thread nut...

Bill;
With the AC on, the electric fan should run at low speed. If it doesn't,
check the relay and the fan connector down by the intercooler - these
are
known to fry with the current the fan pulls. The fan may also have am 80
amp
fusible link in the ground wire - can't recall for sure. If all that is
OK,
the resistor pack or the motor may be toast.
The belt-driven main fan just idles until the air coming through the rad
gets hot enough to engage the viscous clutch. If the engine is
overheating
and the clutch is not engaged it is likely shot. Changing the clutch is
fairly easy but you'll need a 5 mm pinwrench to hold the pulley and I
think
it's a 32 mm open-end wrench to remove the clutch.
