I tried to teach my daughter how to drive stick last year . She did OK, but in the end we decided to give her our 02 Benz ML 320 SUV.
 
Even though its minty, the dealer wouldn't give squat for trade- in when we got my wife her 07 C280 4 Matic, so we kept the tank and glad for it.
 
Its safe as hell, super reliable and eats gas....so she doesn't cruise all over the place.
 
Like Hap...no passengers until next year, no driving after 8 pm,no winter driving until she takes and passes my winter AutoX test.
