That doesn't excuse not considering a good vehicle for your loved ones,
though. :-)

You truly cannot foresee every potential accident- I'm sure you've seen
accidents where someone blatantly ran a red light and hit someone- they were
going so fast that you wouldn't have seen them necessarily in your
peripheral vision as you came across the intersection and even if you did,
you wouldn't have time to react.

I've seen this firsthand where someone ran the red light blatantly, rammed
into the car in front of me, did a ton of damage.
