[s-cars] Green Diamond tires

It's a remolded tire, not a retread. There's no glue involved. The new
rubber and carbide granules are molded onto an old casing. I have run these
tires since 2005.
Some thoughts:
- Yes, they're hard to balance. But they did balance.
- Yes, it's a partial snow tread with a rain groove (like the old Nokian
WR), hence the "all-season" moniker.
- They are a GREAT ice and slush tire, and a so/so deep snow tire. Dry
handling is surprisingly good.
- They last much longer than a typical "snow tire" because a relatively hard
tread compound is used (and theoretically the carbide granules compensate
for this).
- I would not run them in the summer. At 40+ mph, your car will sound like
an old DC-9 jet on its takeoff roll.
Just my $.02 from ~20k mi of winter driving on Green Diamonds.
