[s-cars] Frozen Bilstein

Well, it happened to me now. I left the house in my sedan the other day and had a very strange feeling in the right front like the suspension was totally locked up for compression/rebound. I took the car home and swapped it out for the avant. Got around to taking the insert out today and there was about 6-8 oz of rusty water in the tube and all over the strut. SWEET!!! Anyway, pulled it out with my mityvac and sopped up the rest with a shop rag. Guess I'll be doing the same with the other side tomorrow. Sure am glad I have a garage!!! This would totally suck outside in the cold with a frozen in place strut.
I'm wondering if the same thing will happen with my avant. I used a new set of bellows with the Bilsteins designed for the stock Boges and secured the bottom with zip straps......so far so good. I feel pretty sure the water won't be able to get into the struts with bellows in place. Thoughts?
