It's pretty common in general.  My father had a Koni adjustable fail
on his 944 so badly it set off both the airbags when he hit one of
those cuts in the pavement between where they've been resurfacing and
the old stuff.

Someone, I think it might have been Shine Racing or perhaps Greg
Haymann, said they check every shock they get because a number of them
are dead on arrival.
