I've been happily ripping about in my S6 Avant, all too content to ignore my
once beautiful 95.5 silver S6 lying unfinished in the garage, a sad victim
of ambition exceeding resources. A thousand years since it stormed the
countryside as a One Lap of America competitor it has ignominiously sat
gathering dust. 

 

My 16-yr old now needs a car, and I want to take this as an opportunity for
my own redemption and resurrect the bridge-too-far project car.  To be a
suitable first ride it will need to de-contented a bit - some of the mods
will have to be set back to stock.  If I play my cards right I'll be able to
keep up my momentum and install the go-fast parts on the Avant, but one step
at a time.  I know there are a lot of parts we'll need that I don't yet
realize we do, but here are the ones I can think of right now.  Search
through your years-old boxes of parts and let me know what you're willing to
let go of.

 

Turbo oil drain

MAF-to-turbo hose

lower turbo coolant line

lower airbox and supply hoses

 

I also need to put a bumper back stock.  I do have a plastic welder, but
that thermoset material isn't available.  If anyone has some chunks around
that I could use for welding rod I would appreciated it.
