Your snowflake issue is likely a result of a low system charge.

www.genuineaudiparts.com is one source. I'd strongly recommend replacing the
main cylinder at the same time- they tend to fail shortly after the new
slave is installed.
As far as the A/C issue, I'd use the CC head diagnostics to have the car
tell you what's wrong. They're covered on several sites, including
audiworld, s-cars.org, etc.
