Amen broham.

I esp. love this gem:

"Christopher Bangle has had a lasting impact on the identity of
BMW Group's brands. His contribution to the company's success has been
decisive,"

It's all in the interpretation - I think that chap purposely chose those words, instead of saying what he meant "Christopher Bangle has single handedly nearly destroyed one of Bavaria's finest automakers. His efforts led to a widespread alienation of the company's core consumer and decisively hampered its success".

Uh huh.

Maybe now..........BMW aesthetics will be on par w/ its powerplants.

His design philosophy went against the idea of the Roundel.

Whenever I see a current M3, it reminds me of how diluted the lines have become in comparison to the original E30 M3.....almost no homage whatsoever.

Even the newest P car 997/8 platforms still bare a trace /nod to the earliest 911. Talk about sticking to a plan !

I for one would love to see them open up Garching once again, get the sons of the 78 guys that used to hand build M cars there, and get back to building some real Bavarian rockets with less fat...more filling.

Enough w/ the SMG's, DRC's ,DSC's and whatever other interferences. I want to drive a car dammit !

Good catch Paulie : )

I think I'll go pet my 91 M5 now : p
