[s-cars] Does anyone know of a mediablaster that "recovers"it's spent media?

Chris,

Recovering the media is one thing. Recovering the "powderized" paint is
another one since it makes, IME, sticky deposits which are really painful to
vacuum. The only way I know is to build a "chamber" with 2x4 and
polyethylene sheets with negative pressure build by a powerful vacuum
cleaner. The problem is, except if your vacuum cleaner is built around a
RS2ed AAN (required Audi content), the chamber will have to be small to make
sure there is enough negative pressure. So it has to be built, unbuilt,
rebuilt, reunbuilt, for each section.

Chemical stripper is much less PITA, believe me.

BTW, a sealant only needs a rough surface to stick on. The purpose of
removing the paint is to avoid the sealant to peel off because of the poor
adhesion between the paint layers below. If the Peel Away can make bricks
clean enough to leave them bare, you'll have plenty of adhesion on concrete.

Vincent.

Matt,

which of the peel away products did you use? Where did you buy it
and how expensive is it?

I need to completely clean the pores of the block so the
drylock can penetrate, do you think it would work that good?

Thanks
Chris
