[s-cars] diminished value

My 92 is T red and is not pink at all. I think the front bumper has been re-sprayed because the clear is peeling on the piece of trim below the driver's headlamp. Otherwise, aside from some minor flaws, it looks great and isn't pink in the least.  I also don't believe there's ever been any clear on it, as the factory touch up doesn't come with any clear, whereas any other t-u paint i've bought for a cc car has been supplied with it as a kit (pearl, hibiscus red etc)

I'd like to see the tred car with LMs ...

Tostito Red S4's from 92-94 had just 1 coat of clear... I've seen some fade sooo bad they've gone pink. This usually indicates 1 marginal coat of clear at best.
 
Your car will be sweet once its re-done. 
 
There's a T-Red 93 w/ BBS LM's in the S-Car C4 photo archives.

The percentage of them w/ mint oem paint is pretty small, and truthfully they weren't all that great to begin with.

There were some pics a while ago of Rob Eagleye's Pearl UrS4's repaint. OMG !!!? That car came out amazzing !!? Just wow ! .

I was also going to say "sorry to hear Kevin" but couldn't lie - heck - that guy just did you *THE* most enormous favor conceivable.  SEVENTEEN YEAR OLD NON CLEAR'D TOMACCO RED???  C'mon!  I used to (er, still do!) hope and pray someone would do something like this to one of my junkers for this *VERY* reason.  Get hit light enough to be a non issue but to require a repaint - SCHOOR!

I used to be a Super Anti Paint Work Nazi (SAPWN) until I realized that ALL of my cars have had 'it' in varying degrees and all of them look better than (mostly) all the others out there afterward.

And, diminished value?  Heh - Lusso / Gullwing - good one.  Amen.  Heck I tried 'this' angle when my parking garage jackhammer'd some stone crumbs down onto my 2.3-16's trunk lid and I got a lid spray out of the deal, claiming it wouldn't match and therefore diminish the value of the 751 imported '87s.  Their ins. co. gave me a resplendent "FU!".  Say, Cheeseman…  were you once an ins. adjuster???
 
All kidding aside Kevin - run and buy a Powerball ticket as your luck is seemingly high today 8-).  Good luck - enjoy that purty repaint!
